After checking in everyday after work to find 4 hour waiting lists, I decided to go early one Sunday, after arriving at 9 and being seen fairly promptly, the team decided I required an x-ray and sent me to Stroud as the vale doesn't run xrays on a weekend. I Understood this and drove myself there, after the x-ray I was told the vale wanted to see me about my results so I drove back to the vale for 12 o'clock where I had to sign in again. After 3 hours of no contact and just sitting in a waiting room, I found out I wasn't priority so wouldve had to carry on waiting. So after arriving at 9, and the time now being 3 and still not knowing what was wrong with me, I was fed up of waiting and left. Overall I would like to say that the staff themselves are lovely and are trying their best. However the overall service is lacking with huge waiting lists and poor availability of equipment.I hope these issues can be sorted as this is a vital hospital and needed by the local communities in the area.

Great local hospital. Happy, friendly, unassuming staff. Good for day patients, and non emergency treatment. Also hosts palliative care for specialist treatment. No inpatients for Joe Public. Nearest hospital is Stroud. Nearest A&E and Fracture Clinic is Gloucester Royal.
